House is a ministry focused theatre dedicated to glorifying God through performing arts education and opportunities for homeschool students and our broader community.
Key Responsibilities:
The ACT Class Instructor will lead weekly acting classes on Mondays between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm for Elementary, Junior, and Senior level students.
The instructor will guide students through core acting principles such as presence, character development, movement, improvisation, and scene work.
The instructor will follow a provided curriculum outline that includes goals for each class, while also bringing professional insight and creativity to enhance lessons.
The instructor will create a positive, encouraging classroom environment while managing a group of approximately 11 to 12 students.
The instructor will collaborate with House Theatre leadership as needed to support student development and class expectations.
Requirements:
Background in theatre or acting, with practical experience onstage or in performance based environments, including film.
Ability to teach acting concepts in age appropriate ways for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Strong work ethic and ability to lead a classroom with clarity and warmth.
Self directed and dependable with consistent availability on Mondays from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Teaching experience or youth leadership experience is a plus.
