Position: Senior Dance Instructor
Job #: HT-D2025-01
Location: North Charleston, SC
Schedule: Monday afternoons (2025–2026 season)
Class Level: High School (Grades 9–12)

Description:
House Theatre is seeking a dedicated, energetic Senior Dance Instructor to lead our upper-level dance class for high school students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about both dance and mentorship, with a commitment to fostering excellence in a faith-centered performing arts environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach weekly Monday afternoon dance classes (style flexible: jazz, contemporary, MT-based, etc.)

  • Prepare students for in-class choreography and performance readiness anywhere they go!

  • Support individual student growth in technique and expression

  • Collaborate with the artistic team on House’s vision and values

  • Lead an end of year showcase for the Senior dance students

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of teaching experience (preferably with youth)

  • Strong background in dance (formal training required)

  • Ability to teach technique and choreography with clarity and encouragement

  • A portfolio, website, or professional Instagram showcasing work is preferred

  • Must align with House Theatre’s mission of faith and the arts

Compensation:
Pay is negotiable based on experience.
